P&G Thailand has been started under Richardson-Merrel, which was established in Thailand in June 1966, sells Vicks brand, Clearasil brand and Topex. In 1981, the company name was changed to Richardson-Vicks Limited and Oil of Ulan was launched in 1983 as an imported skincare product which changed the face of Richardson-Vicks from a pharmaceutical company to consumer product company.

In 1988, Richardson Vicks Limited was officially acquired by Procter & Gamble in U.S.A and the company name was changed to Procter & Gamble Manufacturing Thailand. P&G Thailand has started with the launch of imported renowned baby product known as Pampers and also many other beauty care products such as Pantene Pro-V, Olay and Rejoice.  With the rapid growth of the FMCG in this region, P&G decided to invest in establishing a production plant in Thailand in 1990. The first plant was located at KM 18.8 Bang Na-Trad Highway and has been moved to expand its production capacity to the new plant in Wellgrow Industry Estate in 1996.

Today, P&G Thailand employs over 800 people at its Bangkok office, its manufacturing plant at Wellgrow Industrial Estate, and its Regional Distribution Center. The company markets Beauty Care brands in Thailand including Pantene Pro-V, Head & Shoulders, Clairol, Rejoice, Wella and Olay. Besides, it also markets Safeguard de-germing soap, Pampers disposable baby diapers, Whisper personal hygiene products, Vicks pharmaceutical products, and Pringles potato crisps.
