Where Could You Start?

You could start your career in any of the four major Business Units - Global Business Unit, Market Development Organization, Global Business Services or Corporate Function. Your initial focus will be on learning and assimilating the business and the organization you are assigned to. You will work on stretching responsibilities and projects very early on, which will help you quickly build your knowledge and expertise. You could have the opportunity to apply acquired knowledge against real business situations through assignments of increasing responsibility and/or scope. We place very high emphasis on developing technical expertise and practical applications within your business segment. If assigned to the Global Business Services, you could choose to grow your career as a technical master in processes and services that leverage scale and cutting edge internet technologies. For example, you could be assigned to Employee Benefits, Compensation Design and Administration, Relocation and Expatriate Services or Employee Data Management. If assigned to a Market Development Organization or a Global Business Unit, you could be responsible for providing a broad range of human resource services to a team or an organization, while at the same time developing mastery in some HR processes, like Employee Relations, Recruiting, Training and Organization Development. If you are assigned to the Corporate Function, you could participate in the development of Corporate Training, Global Recruiting, Training and Development Measurement Systems as well as provide expertise in Organization Change.


What Could Your Career Path Look Like In The Future?

Progression to higher levels will be dependent on performance and personal desire. As you progress, you will be leveraging the business and human resource skills you learned, to help meet business and organization goals within one of P&G’s business segments. You will have the opportunity for broad application of human resource expertise against a specific business unit. Or, you will have the opportunity to begin developing an area of expertise within the human resource discipline that is required to service a broad employee population. You will progress to higher levels based on your results and leadership. In these positions, you will be responsible for development of strategic human resource programs designed to support achievement of business plans in your organization. In such roles, you will influence decisions across businesses, geographies and business segments. We value in-depth understanding of the many business segments as well as the inter-dependence across multiple organizations with differing technical expertise. We grow our people's careers in human resources through a combination of assignments across different business units. This might also mean that the top performers in the function could be assigned to different countries and regions as part of their career development
