What Are We All About?

The Manufacturing function at P&G is one branch of a broader organization called Product Supply (PS). We operate and manage the P&G supply chain to ensure the continuous supply and availability of P&G brands to the market. We make, pack and deliver high quality products to our customers at the right time, right place and right quantity. Our scope of responsibility covers planning, purchasing, material sourcing, engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, logistics, distribution, packaging development and technical services – We are the link from supplier to customer. We search, develop and master state-of-the-art technology to manufacture products; develop long-term partnership with suppliers; create means to ensure excellent customer service; employ world class technology on material, information and our most important asset - people for them to grow and contribute to their fullest potential.


Where Could You Start?

You could start your career in a Global Business Unit (category organization) or in a Market Development Organization (country organization). As a new hire, you will be assigned to one of the key functions within Product Supply i.e. Manufacturing, Logistics, Purchasing and Engineering. If assigned to Manufacturing, you could be asked to manage the operations and production of one of a wide range of consumer products, which meet the highest standards of quality. If assigned to Logistics, you could be made responsible for effective planning and flow of raw and packing materials from suppliers to the production floor, or for effective planning and flow of finished products from our plants to our customers. In Purchasing, you may be made responsible for sourcing materials, services, equipment, and suppliers at best value. If assigned to Engineering, you could be asked to manage major technical projects such as the design and construction Plant facilities. As you may see, a career in Product Supply offers a wide range of career choices in the company. And in whatever role you be assigned to, you can expect to assume vital responsibilities that make an impact to the business very early on in your career.


What Could Your Career Path Look Like In The Future?

You can expect to be part of a project or management team where you apply your technical expertise to important business needs. Contribution to the business is expected from the very start of your career. As you progress, your skill level grows through a wide range of specialized training programs, coupled with more challenging projects. As you begin to demonstrate technical expertise and effective people management skills, you can expect to assume more responsibility -- perhaps as a project manager, as a senior technical resource or as a manager of a operating team. We expect your level of influence and leadership to increase throughout your career. How quickly you progress to higher levels is based on your performance and contribution, technical skill development, and demonstrated ability to take on more responsibility.
