What are we all about?

Customer Business Development is the Selling Organization responsible for our brands Winning at the 1st Moment of Truth --- when the consumer encounters them in a store. We are a multi-functional organization consisting primary of Sales personnel but also personnel from Logistics, Finance, Market Research, Marketing, Finance, IT and HR. The Customer Development organization is responsible for ensuring the superior availability, visibility and right pricing for our brands wherever the consumer shops for our categories. We capitalize on a full understanding of the consumers’ needs, the trade dynamics, and our competitors’ marketing policies and strategies. We implement the most effective and efficient core processes and technology. Most importantly, we build and sustain the organization’s capability through robust and efficient recruiting, training and development systems.


Where Could You Start?

All new hires start in a Retail Sales Section to learn the basics of selling and to develop a solid understanding of our industry. The minimum time in this role is 12 months. Progress beyond band I requires development of strong selling skills and the new hire exceeding expectations in the absolute and versus theirs peers. We provide regular coaching, support and a robust W&DP (Work and Development Plan) process to help new hires succeed. The new-hire training plan is a 52 week training plan consisting of an initial orientation, 1 to 1 individual coaching, self-learn materials, and a new hire college in Singapore.


What Could Your Career Path Look Like In The Future?

Progression to higher levels is based on the person’s ability to exceed expectations in each role versus absolute standards and versus their peers. We provide regular coaching, support and a robust W&DP (Work and Development Plan) process at each level of responsibility to help you succeed. These development materials consist of in-field coaching, self-help programs leveraging new technology, formal Colleges and periodic seminars. As a person’s skills improve, responsibilities are increased. This work will include the opportunity to lead complex customers and more challenging projects. With increased responsibility is more accountability for bigger volume. Managers are responsible not only for business results but they are also responsible for development of a multi-functional organization. This work includes responsibility for developing business plans, providing direction, and delivering breakthrough results for their area of responsibility.
