P&G has been an important investor in Turkey, operating by wholly owned businesses and being the management headquarters of Turkey/Caucasia & Central Asian Republics hub for P&G business in the CEEMEA region. Local organization employees in Caucasia & Central Asia have direct reporting lines to the management in Turkey.
P&G Turkey's headquarters is in Icerenkoy, Istanbul. Its manufacturing facilities are Gebze Organize Sanayi Bolgesi (GOSB), Kocaeli; the bleach manufacturing and distribution center is in Sekerpinar, Kocaeli. P&G Turkey exports 24% of the plants output to other countries, and for the last five years, P&G Turkey has been awarded the greatest exporter in paper products.
Additionally, P&G Turkey has been chosen to be the most admired cleaning products/chemical industry company in 2001 and 2002 by the research carried out by Capital magazine (a la Fortune magazine). In overall rating, P&G was rated #16 in 2001, and rose to # 9 in 2002, being the only multi-national to be chosen among the top 10 companies in 17 of the 18 research criteria. In 2003, the same survey ranked P&G as the #1 company in personal care/cosmetics and cleaning products.

P&G Employment in Turkey
P&G Turkey employs 670 people directly (on payroll) and 2500 people indirectly (contractors, promo girls, distribution center employees, agencies, etc.). Fifty Turkish managers are abroad on international assignments, and eight international managers are on board in Turkey. Nearly 40% of the management positions are held by female employees.
