OPTIMIZING THE SUPPLY CHAIN
Even the most powerful brand names are worthless unless they’re on a product that appears on the right shelf at the right time to meet the expectations of our customers and consumers in Europe and globally. That’s why Product Supply Management (PSM) is so critical to Procter & Gamble’s profitability, and to its reputation for quality and reliability. Our supply chain teams have the challenge of ensuring our products are on the shelf–on schedule and on budget. Worldwide, over 60,000 people work in PSM across a range of varied roles embracing the entire supply chain–from sourcing raw materials to delivering the final product to our retail customer partners and consumers.
To succeed in PSM, you’ll need to work towards achieving the perfect balance between Procter & Gamble’s business strategy, its huge technical resources and, most importantly, its people. You will need a strong academic record and excellent interpersonal skills so that you can work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds across Europe, and increasingly on a global basis as we develop global supply chains.
Typically, you will begin your career in one of Product Supply disciplines (Purchasing, Engineering, Manufacturing, Customer Logistics) at one of our locations in Europe. Here, you will cut your teeth as a supply chain professional through hands-on involvement with key projects. After a successful first assignment, we will review together the best options for you and the business.
You may have the opportunity to progress in your chosen discipline; switch disciplines within PSM; and experience another part of Supply Chain management building on your initial success.
We have excellent career opportunities for graduates from a broad range of technical backgrounds. We are also very interested in applications from graduates with backgrounds in commerce, general science and materials management.
