The mission of Customer Business Development (CBD) is to influence customers and distributors to build their business through actions on our brands. There is a wide scope to this work, from the most sophisticated global retailers to open market selling via distributors. We have CEEMEA operations today in 54 countries, and expansion will continue. Our marketplace reaches from cosmopolitan cities such as Moscow, Istanbul, Cairo and Johannesburg to remote areas in Central Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa.

The Customer Business development concept – which Proctor & Gamble pioneered – came from recognizing that two-way collaboration with our customers/distributors is fundamental to the growth of our mutual business. As a CBD member, you are responsible for using your drive and ingenuity to deliver goals. you will sell customer/distributor specific ideas and plans that lead to mutual competitive advantage.

Early in you career you will be responsible for a large business, often over $1 million in sales. In some cases you will have major account work. There you will sell conceptually, strategically and cross-functionally utilizing consumer, shopper, logistics and point of sales data. In other cases you will manage the multi-functional strategic direction and operations of a professional distributor which may have over 100 employees. State of the art technology supports our CBD work.

We select CBD leaders from a wide range of backgrounds, disciplines and degrees. What matters most to us is that you possess natural leadership skills, collaboration skills which enable you to express ideas in a way that builds commitment, tenacity and an entrepreneurial spirit.

During your first few years a focused, tailored, training program will equip you with the essential skills of customer selling, building winning relationships, owning and running a business and innovating. From there, a host of career paths are open to you that could take you around the world.
