My summer as an intern at PG was a first and excellent experience of the business world. I led interesting projects, learned about market dynamics and advertising fundamentals, and met colleagues from all over the world. That’s why I decided to come back one year later as an Assistant Brand Manager working on the Lebanese haircare business. As of day one, I had full responsibility for my brands, including all marketing plans, budgets, and profit. I became part of a multifunctional team and began to interact with internal functions such as sales and finance, and external partners such as advertising agencies and distributors.
I can always count on excitement to be part of working in P&G… For example, one of my first projects was to help organize the national election of Miss Lebanon, which is transmitted on most local and satellite TV channels in the Arab world. A year later, I launched P&G brands in Syria, a new market that had previously been closed to the world for decades! It was a great challenge and no one day was like another!
I changed assignments in 1999 to become Assistant Brand Manager on Baby Care across Levant markets, and in November 2000, I was promoted to Brand Manager for Always, Pampers, and Pringles Levant. Over the years, the scope of my job has grown considerably, and I started developing people management and organization building skills. The Levant team is relocating now to Beirut, and I am looking forward to another new big adventure...
