I started as a project manager at P&G – Egypt in September 2000. Leadership, a sense of ownership and skills to execute with excellence have been the landmarks to my pursuit.
P&G welcomed me with an "on-boarding program", where I got acquainted with the different departments of the organization and their work practices. Then I started my local project management overview, which equipped me to manage projects with the valued support of my manager and colleagues, to modify and upgrade machines with the most recent technology.
Later, I was part of the management development program which covers intensive weekly training on management topics such as: leadership skills, team effectiveness, coaching, communication, and negotiation. This, in addition to attending an advanced project management course in Brussels, has qualified me to handle projects worth millions of dollars a year, mainly initiatives and cost savings projects. Now I’m in charge of the capital management in Egypt, ensuring compliance with global capital management standards and making sure that all capital projects meet the success criteria.
Working at P&G gives you several privileges: It’s one of the best profile companies in business development; it takes your whole life into account- it strengthens positive personal traits for the benefit of your professional and personal life. Being a manger as your first job enhances the ability to think strategically, reapplying knowledge, widening your circle of influence and developing yourself. Collaboration, mastery and visionary leadership are the route to our relentless commitment to always be the Best.
