Madina Kusaeva - KAZAKHSTAN - CBD Unit Manager

Madina Kusaeva

Job Title: CBD Unit Manager
Function: Sales/Customer Business Development
Department: Customer Business Development
University: Kazak National University
Degree: Philological Department

The first time I met P&G people, I immediately became aware of the respect they show to other people, and I found this very appealing. It was interesting to see their passion for winning and sense of ownership. I felt myself to be a part of the P&G family and this feeling is still with me and is constantly growing and developing. In spite of the many obstacles and challenges we face, people at P&G are very attentive to each other and work really hard to get the results. I am very happy and proud to work with such great people and for such an outstanding Company. The most impressive person I have met in my career was my mentor in P&G – Hans-Peter Heissen, Vice-president. In spite of his huge responsibilities and overwhelming workload, he was an excellent coach and spent lots of time to help with my questions and concerns (and trust me, I had a lot of them!). My biggest challenge in the beginning was to adapt to the speed of business in P&G. There was a lot of information, interesting activities and market development actions that I was a part of. I was also part of the team that implemented the Van Selling model for the first time in the history of P&G in Central Asia and worked closely with all our current distributors in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Mongolia. But my biggest source of pride is that due to working in P&G I had the unique chance to enter the Mongolian market and to be the first person from P&G settled the business there. At the moment I am responsible for the biggest CA Distributor – C.A.D. Co. Ltd (61% of our Kazakhstan business) and for the Mongolian market. It’s interesting to develop talented and active people, grow the business and implement new projects and ideas. In P&G I find I can focus on developing my skills in leadership, solutions and especially collaboration due to the diverse group of people I work with. I have become very self-confident and look forward to the future with great confidence and optimism. I am happy and proud of the choice I made in life.
