In 1988, P&G started its activities in Brazil by acquiring a local beauty care company called "Perfumarias PHEBO." After the acquisition, we started launching our international brands, like Pert Plus and Pantene shampoos, and Pampers diapers. In 1993, P&G acquired two local catamenial brands: "Ela" and "Livre & Atual." Today, P&G Brazil has added other important brands like Pringles, Vicks line (Vicks Vaporub, Xarope Vicks, Pastilhas Vicks and Vicks Pyrena), Hypoglós, and Metamucil. Brazil is one of the largest-growing potential markets in the world. Our recent consolidation of three plants into one megafactory and the acquisition of a laundry business (Quanto, POP, Odd fases and Finish brands) offer just a glimpse of the investment P&G is making in Brazil.
