Sales/Customer Business Development

Full Time

The Customer Business Development concept came from recognizing that collaborative partnerships with our retail customers and distributors are fundamental to the growth of our mutual business. As a member of CBD, you will be responsible for building these partnerships and using your drive and ingenuity to deliver sales goals. You will sell customer/distributor specific ideas and plans using our brands to create mutual competitive advantage. Account Representatives are responsible for selling and merchandising the P&G brand line-up in an assigned area. Typically, Account Representatives are in contact with the designated customers in order to guarantee a correct use of the promotional funds, and follow through as needed to carry out the plan in each store. The work involves both selling and execution (such as building display).

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing, with the help of your manager, an action plan to guide your work for the promotion period
  • Developing plans to sell the promotion line-up to assigned stores
  • Carrying out selling and merchandising objectives in the areas of distribution levels, shelf presence, displays and pricing
  • Understanding your customers systems, objectives, and strategies; calling on stores according to a set schedule to ensure objectives are achieved; participation in re-models and resets and be able to lead the implementation of plans
  • Accurately reporting, on a timely basis, in-store results as required; and developing strong relationships with store personnel.
Interns

We offer exciting, challenging internships to outstanding students. You will be provided with a deep, experienced-based understanding of Customer Business Development and Customer Teams. Interns become an important member of one of our Customer Teams, working directly with the customer, and having selling and account management responsibility. CBD Interns are assigned very challenging projects within the area. Typically, they are in contact with designated customers in order to guarantee a correct use of the promotional funds, and follow through as needed to carry out the plan in each store along with the representative. The project sometimes involves both selling and execution (such as building display).

Key responsibilities will vary depending on the project, however, usually include:
  • Developing, with the help of your manager, an action plan to guide your work for the promotion period
