Tony Saldanha

Background:

When I joined P&G in 1991, I had 5 years of previous work experience in India. During my P&G career, I've had the opportunity to work in India, Japan, and the Philippines, as well in Cincinnati and Boston in the US.

History:

  • After working in IT in India, Japan, and the Philippines for several years, I was promoted to manage the IT infrastructure for Asia.
  • I transferred to Cincinnati in 1999, where I managed a combination of workplace services and IT. I oversaw a staff of 250 people and a $120 million budget.
  • From there, I moved into a GBS sourcing assignment and started up a new project to determine the right proportions of IT resources for P&G's global business.
  • I subsequently started up the first IDS program, with the goal of driving real time decision making.
  • I moved to Boston after P&G acquired Gillette, and I am currently Gillette's GBU GBS manager.
