Dual Career Partner Placement Assistance Program

One of the most difficult problems dual career couples face when moving to a new city is finding employment for both partners. Procter & Gamble has provided a Dual Career Partner Placement Assistance Program designed to make this transition a little easier for you and your partner. Our definition of 'partner' is any person who will be relocating with you and has a major impact on your decision.

The Dual Career Partner Placement Assistance Program is divided into two parts:

  1. The Cincinnati Dual Career Network (CDC), which is a computer program that matches high quality candidates (partners of new hires or transferees) with available job openings in Greater Cincinnati. It includes broad representation from roughly 500 local companies and institutions with hiring needs, which covers a comprehensive range of professional and administrative career opportunities. The objective of the CDC is to quickly identify employment opportunities for each and every qualified individual who enters the program. The CDC is most effective with partners who are very focused in their job search and are ready to start interviewing right away.
  2. The second element is the Career Assistance Program. This program can help with such things as arranging job interviews and informational interviews, also called "networking interviews", as well as resume writing, vocational testing, sharpening your interview skills, and providing administrative support. In the Career Assistance Program, your partner will be assigned a "lead consultant" who will assist in nearly every aspect of the job search. This individual will coach and collaborate with your partner throughout the job search process. Since all job searches are not the same, different resources may be more helpful at different times. In other words, the variety of resources offered may be helpful in different stages of the job search.

Both programs are a partnership between P&G and Lee Hecht Harrison.

Please note that Lee Hecht Harrison is not an employment agency. It is important to remember that the more active your partner is in his or her own job search, the more successful the outcome.
