We realize Engineers have a broad range of job options. In general terms, there are two ends to the spectrum: consulting versus manufacturing. It's the allure of consulting versus the appeal of building a new car. Thinking versus doing. Choosing between having a broad range of work assignments versus influencing and owning the results. If both sound appealing, you should consider P&G. We offer a little bit of both.
How's that possible? First and foremost, we sell tangible products, so we're obviously a technology and manufacturing company. You'll be involved with creating and making a product(s). Actually you'll be designing and making the multi-million dollar machines, plants and overall work processes that make the product.
Second, because we're a consumer goods company, we have short engineering life-cycles. In other words, we move our ideas to market much faster than on bigger ticket items. We're generally talking in terms of months regarding time to market. As a result, you could have the opportunity to move around to many different assignments.
Third, we are big, and that means more opportunities. We have over 400 business teams; some focus on established businesses while others focus on upstream development. Simply put, you'll have a broad choice of challenging job assignments.
You also have a choice in what type of work you do. In Engineering we offer three different career paths and entry points. You choose which path is the most interesting and best fit with your skills and abilities. Take a look at our functional descriptions in "The Work" and see where you could make your best contribution.
